"The Handyman Plumber" can replace your toilet for less than big franchise plumbing companies. Big plumbing companies make the toilet replacement seem complicated, but a toilet repair or replacement is really not that comlicated when you know what you are doing, like "The Handyman Plumber."  Here is basically how a toilet is repaced by "The Handyman Plumber."

First, I shut off the water to the toilet; safety is number one when it comes to plumbing. I inspect your stop valve to make sure you do not have a leaky valve. Plumbing leaks can be costly.  Repairing leaky pipes saves money. Next I remove your old toilet by unscrewing the T-bolts at the bottom of the toilet.  I then inspect the toilet flange (the picture to the left).

Next, I put a new wax ring on tthe drain of the toilet. (as a side note: sometimes toilet leak from the bottom. it does not mean you need a new toilet. "The Handyman Plumber" can save you money by replacing the wax ring.)

 
I then seal the bowl to the flange. (another side note: When your floor is warped, some plumbing companies try to upsell you on a new flange. "The Handyman Plumber" can save you money by shimming the toilet.)

Next, I connect the toilet tank to the toilet bowl. There are bolts and rubber washers that synch the two together. (yet another side note: This is another place where toilets can leak. Again, it does not mean you need a new toilet. "The Handyman Plumber" can save you money by rebuilding your toilet with rubber gasgets and washers).

And lastly, I connect the flex line to the underside of the tank and tighten. Turn on the water and check for leaks. Adjust toilet water line if necessary.

Obviously, there are some tricks to the trade, but you get the gist of the toilet install and thetoilet components.
